Rockland, ME, July 27, 2020 — The Center for Maine Contemporary Art (CMCA) invites artists of all ages to take part in a special ArtLab for All Ages workshop on Saturday, August 1, from 2 to 4pm, in partnership with Indigo Arts Alliance’s Beautiful Blackbird Children’s Book Festival. Participants are invited to join CMCA Education Coordinator Mia Bogyo in “A Mighty Family” art project using drawing tools and a variety of collage materials.

The workshop will be offered outdoors in the CMCA courtyard. Individual art kits will be provided and 6 feet social distancing observed. The workshop is free of charge, but advance reservations are required. To reserve, e-mail Mia Bogyo at mbogyo@cmcanow.org

The workshop will also be streamed live on facebook.com/cmcanow for those who prefer to participate virtually.

Now in its ninth year, CMCA’s ArtLab for All Ages program is offered free of charge to the community through the support of Wells Fargo, the Fisher Charitable Foundation, Margaret E. Burnham Trust, Milton & Sally Avery Arts Foundation, Morton-Kelly Charitable Trust, and individual donors.
