A few preparations to make in advance of Virtual Art Workshops:
- Get inspired: Explore the CMCA Biennial, either in-person or by Virtual Tour and find the works of both Henry Austin and Richard Van Buren. (both located in our Main gallery)
- Gather materials: You’ll want an assortment of mark-making tools such as paints and brushes, pens, pencils, markers, crayons, chalks or pastels – the more the merrier! You’ll also need scissors and some heavy paper, cardboard, small canvas boards to work on and/or clean sturdy fabrics like denim or canvas. Tape and household glue are good to have on hand.
- Clear an area for art-making at your kitchen table or on the floor in a space where you and others have room to create; be sure to cover the area with newspaper, an old towel or tablecloth, or other protective covering to shield your work area if needed.
