Rockland, ME, May 19, 2017 —The Center for Maine Contemporary Art gratefully accepts a donation from Camden National Bank of $10,000 in support of its capital campaign. To date, CMCA has raised more than $4.3 million towards its campaign goal of $5.2 million. The capital campaign has made possible CMCA’s spectacular new building at 21 Winter Street in Rockland, designed by internationally recognized architect Toshiko Mori.

“As a community bank, Camden National is dedicated to engaging with our communities to promote and celebrate the arts,” said Vera Roberts, Commercial Regional Manager of Camden National Bank. “We are pleased to be a contributor to the Center for Maine Contemporary Art and acknowledge the work you do to educate the public about our state’s thriving contemporary art scene and the significant role it plays in enhancing our cultural offerings for Mainers and visitors.”

The Center for Maine Contemporary Art was founded in 1952 and is the state’s longest running institution dedicated to contemporary art. It offers a year-round program of exhibitions, events, and educational programs for all ages. The Boston Globe named the new CMCA “the best new museum of 2016” and The New York Times listed it as “one of the art venues to visit in 2017.”

Contributions to the capital campaign in every amount are greatly appreciated. For more information or to make a donation, visit cmcanow.org or call 207.701.5005.
