Looking at the work of artist Shinique Smith and a subject she often explores; The Human Condition. We will work with ink and clothing remnants to create painted and collaged pieces. Attendees are encouraged to bring something from home that you might want to use as well.
About the instructor
Alix Martin is an artist and educator living part time in Rockland and also North Haven Island. She creates whenever possible; walking down the hallway at work, while taking the ferry back and forth and sitting on the beach among other places. She loves finding inspiration in the world around her and often weaves found things into her work by sewing, weaving and collaging.
