Containers of Memory

Vessels can hold both material and memory. Join us in the ArtLab this month as we create sculptural containers and writing inspired by biennial artist Jenny Ibsen. In her work, Jenny uses printmaking, ceramics, and text to tell stories connected to food and family. In the ArtLab, we will make small paper vessels containing written verse. Write down a memory, a story, or a favorite family recipe and sculpt a special paper object to hold it.

Open Studios offers drop-in opportunities and materials for visitors of all ages to creatively engage with and understand current exhibitions through self-directed art making.
