Cut and Create: A celebration of National Collage Day

In celebration of upcoming National Collage Day (5/14), drop into our ArtLab for an afternoon of collage making with artist Margaret Rizzio. Using vintage ephemera and colorful papers, the afternoon will be spent creating collages with these unique materials to celebrate the day. Join us and discover unusual forms of art that explore new ways of thinking and creating!

Artist Margaret Rizzio graduated from Bennington College in Vermont with a BA, in visual arts followed by an MFA, from Purchase College in New York. After finishing school Margaret returned home to Maine, the place she was born and raised and has always loved. Margaret employs an expansive range of mediums, that include collage and assemblage, to embody  ideas of feminism and the passage of time. Her colorful and multi-layered collages are filled with intertwined coincidences and repeating elements. She is represented by DowlingWalsh in Rockland, Maine.
