Artist Dialogue | Darkness Visible

May 5 | 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT

Sunday, May 5 | 3-4pm | In-person at CMCA

Join us for an engaging, in-depth conversation between artist Alison Hildreth and CMCA’s former executive director and chief curator Suzette McAvoy as they discuss Hildreth’s life in art and her work on view in the exhibition Darkness Visible, part of the statewide retrospective celebration of the artist’s more than sixty-five-year pursuit of the disciplines of painting and drawing.

Following the talk, the artist will sign copies of the recently released 86-page monograph, Alison Hildreth: A Retrospective, published by SPEEDWELL Contemporary, with written contributions by Jocelyn Lee, Jessica May, Jaime Desimone, Grant Wahlquist, Katarina Weslien, Katherine Watson, Lauren Fensterstock, Sean Foley, and Adam Weinberg.
