People and Portraits
with instructor Alanna Hernandez
Artists have always been inspired to make art about humans–themselves and others! In this camp we will learn how to make portraits that capture more than just how a person looks. Inspired by artists Reggie Burrows Hodges, Yashua Klos, and CMCA summer exhibitions, we will explore portrait-making in a variety of drawing and collage mediums.
Alanna Hernandez is an artist and educator living in Union, Maine. She enjoys creating abstract drawings that use line and crosshatching to convey emotion, movement, and tension. She currently has a solo exhibit on view at Interloc Projects.
