Abstract Painting, A Celebration of Place
Join artist and educator Karen Jelenfy to explore abstract painting that draws inspiration from landscapes rooted in a celebration of place. During this one day class participants will reference works currently on view at CMCA along with masterworks by Andrew Wyeth, Chaim Soutine and Joan Mitchell to inspire your own abstract paintings.
Karen Jelenfy has lived and painted in Midcoast Maine since 2004. She is also an educator and a writer with an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. Her work can be found on Instagram, and upcoming exhibitions at All Roads Hub, Bridgton and University of New England Gallery, Portland.
All levels welcome, masks required regardless of vaccination status.
