Felted Friends
In this introductory needle felting workshop, participants will learn how to make snail friends from wool. Inspired by the work of Elijah Ober | Calcium / Your Future Ex Squirrelfriend, we will study the anatomy of the snail and use photographic references to render our felted friends. Opportunities for exploration and creative interpretation of the subject are welcome!
Tara Morin is an educator and artist living in Rockland. She defines her work as collecting and configuring shape and color, often integrating the “detritus of daily life” into her work. She uses found materials to create visually complex images and objects, arranging and rearranging to produce painting, drawing, collage and sculpture. Her aim is to reimagine the found material as something both familiar and foreign.
