Artist Alex Katz has created a new fine art print, Flowers 2, 2017, to benefit the Center for Maine Contemporary Art. Published by Lococo Fine Art, the print features Maine wildflowers in yellow, orange, and lavender in an all-over pattern against a white background. Each print is individually signed and numbered by the artist on the front. A limited number of prints remain available for purchase directly from CMCA. The full purchase price of each print benefits CMCA. Contributions above the purchase price of the print are fully tax-deductible. Prints may also be purchased at the CMCA gift shop or by calling 207-701-5005.
Known internationally for his iconic representational paintings, Alex Katz (b. 1927) has been a summer resident of Lincolnville, Maine, for more than six decades and is a longtime supporter of CMCA. He has called the new CMCA building, which opened to the public in June 2016, “a game-changer for Maine art.”
