Join CMCA’s Associate Curator Bethany Engstrom for a discussion of her current projects as Artist-in-Residence with the Ellis-Beauregard Foundation. Following the talk at CMCA, you are invited to join Engstrom for an Open Studio visit at Studio 214, Lincoln Street Center, 24 Lincoln Street, Rockland.

As an artist, Engstrom explores the perception of experience and space through objects, installation, audio, and video. Currently living and working in Belfast, Maine, she attended the University of Maine at Orono, earning a BA in Art History in 2002, an MFA in Intermedia in 2011, and an Interdisciplinary PhD in Intermedial Collaborative Practices in 2014. In 2013, she was a Fellow at Mildred’s Lane in Beach Lake, Pennsylvania.

Engstrom’s work has been included in a number of exhibitions in conjunction with the University of Maine, and at Asymmetrick Arts in Rockland, Waterfall Arts in Belfast, and CMCA. In addition to her creative work, she serves as CMCA’s Associate Curator, and as an adjunct instructor at Unity College and in the Intermedia MFA program at UMaine. She is also a co-founder of the collaborative group Core 5 Incident.
