Twenty-four hours, ten artists, a whole heap of stuff…

Resisting Entropy is an exercise in creating collaboratively within a condensed timeframe and shared space. The ten participating artists begin on Friday at noon, confronted with a sizeable heap of discarded and junked materials, and, over the next 24 hours, live and work together to transform the pile into unique and unpredictable artworks.

Resisting Entropy was first developed in 2010 and took place at Asymmetrick Arts in Rockland, Maine. Revised in scope and with an extended roster of artists, the 2013 group includes David Allen, Johanna Cairns, Jared Cowan, Bethany Engstrom, Andy Hamm, Siglinde Langholz, Jonathan Laurence, Eric Leppanen, Trelawney O’Brien, and Andy White.
