Youth Art Month

This month we celebrate the 2024 Youth Art Month through the creative art practice of trading cards. For the entire month of March and will transform the studio into a public space for both making and trading artist trading cards. Our exchange area will be posted in the front window of the ArtLab and will also serve as an ever-evolving display of participant creations. Share with us what Dream in Art sparks for you! 

In past years, CMCA Education Program has facilitated an extensive postcard art exchange between artists, schools, and community organizations. This year, we have switched our focus to help institutions develop an art exchange practice internally through the use of artist trading cards.

About Youth Art Month
Youth Art Month is a time to celebrate the creative process and support the development of quality arts programming for young artists. Through a variety of arts-based initiatives, groups and organizations committed to youth art education come together during the month of March to offer unique opportunities for youth to engage with creative practice and problem solving. 

Open Studios offers drop-in opportunities and materials for visitors of all ages to creatively engage with current exhibitions through self-directed art making.
