Tools of the Trade

When removed from their context and purpose, tools become sculptural objects. Combining and arranging these objects results in complex, abstract compositions. This month we will  create relief sculptures using vintage images of tools and machinery and cardboard drawing from the current installation by Rodrigo Valenzuela. Design a device, create a contraption, and celebrate shape and form!

Open Studios offers drop-in opportunities and materials for visitors of all ages to creatively engage with current exhibitions through self-directed art making.
