Owl’s Head & the St. George Peninsula | Where Art & Nature Meet
Board the bus at CMCA in Rockland for our much-anticipated, always sold-out, daylong tour of artful homes and gardens in Midcoast Maine.
We begin this year’s tour in Owl’s Head with a visit to a young family’s chic, boldly modern, art-filled home. Next up is a sleek, contemporary house designed for two avid cooks, where we’ll stop for lunch provided by McLoon’s Lobster Shack.
Then we travel to Tenant’s Harbor for an exclusive tour of artist Jamie Wyeth’s home and collections. We circle back to Rackcliff Island in Spruce Head to a family compound recently featured in The New York Times, and end our day with drinks on the deck at the stylish home of two artists.
Registration is 9:00 to 9:20am; bus leaves CMCA promptly at 9:30am and returns at 5:30pm. Daylong parking is available in the lot on Winter Street.
Please note: Tour activities include climbing stairs and walking on uneven ground; venues are not handicap accessible. Wear comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate clothing.
