Earth Arts
with instructor Heidi O’Donnell

In this exciting one-week experience, we will delve into the world of textiles by exploring earth arts through fiber fun! Using dry-felting and woven fiber arts techniques to explore our imaginations and local environment – focusing on color, texture, pattern, and composition.

Graduating with M.Ed. in arts education and holding National Board Certification, Heidi O’Donnell has taught Visual Arts for the past twenty-five years with experience at all K-12 grade levels. While she has dabbled with numerous media, Heidi truly enjoys pinhole photography, ceramics, felting, and metals. Her second love in life is adventure and service to others. She has been a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader for the past ten years, has been a sitting board member with the Maine Art Education Association for the past eight years, and is currently serving as the Eastern Region VP Elect for the National Art Education Association. Heidi believes that summer in Maine is the perfect setting for creative adventures!

Following Maine CDC Day Program guidelines:

• All attendees and staff are to wear face masks and coverings throughout the event unless stepping away from group to hydrate
• Participants from out of state are required to quarantine for 14 days prior to attendance.
• Hand sanitizing stations will be available at heavily trafficked areas; encouraging hand sanitization during transitions
• Tables will be spaced with 6’ social distancing in place along with 2-3 participants per table
• To limit sharing; participants will receive their own art kits

Additional CMCA guidelines:

• Hand sanitization will be required upon check-in at camp
• Face masks will be required and supplied if forgotten
• All tools and surfaces will be sanitized before session and throughout the program when necessary
• Sanitary wipes and cleaning supplies will be available for additional wiping if necessary
• Maintain social distancing of at least 3’ with face covering while instructing

Photography Policy: By registering for ArtCamp, I understand my child may be photographed by CMCA staff for general documentation and publicity. I also understand that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable to me by reason of such use.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund (minus $50 registration fee) will be granted for cancellations made up to 14 days prior to program start date; 50% refund (minus $50) will be granted for cancellation up to 10 days before program start date. No refunds for cancellations made less than 10 days prior to start date. Please notify us immediately of any cancellation so we can fill your space. CMCA reserves the right to cancel any ArtLab program. In the event of a cancellation by CMCA, full refunds will be granted, Under-enrolled programs (less than 8 participants) will be canceled 1 week prior to the start date. We do not offer prorated fees to attend part of the program. Thank you for understanding.
