Sliding fee of $5–$15 | Drop-in | Adults 18+
Spend your Sunday morning exploring, making, and creating in the ArtLab studio during this community drop-in for adults. Learn a new process, work on an independent project or play with materials with artists of all abilities. At the beginning of the event, guest artist Ingrid Ellison will introduce you to materials that are used both traditionally and alternatively for creating mixed media surfaces along with prompts for creating both paintings and visual journal entries. Registration includes Free coffee provided by Rock City Café!
About the artist
Ingrid Ellison was born in Boston and has made Maine her home for the past 15 years. Since moving to the mid-coast she has exhibited throughout New England including the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, The University of Maine Bangor, Aarhus Gallery, The Cynthia Winings Gallery, and AVA Center for the Arts. Ingrid graduated from Skidmore College with a BS in Studio Art and earned her MFA in Painting from American University. In addition, she studied printmaking at Il Bisonte in Florence, Italy and has participated in residencies and workshops at the Vermont Studio Center and Castle Hill Center for the Arts. Ingrid continues to engage in the arts community teaching a number of workshops each year.
Our Adult Makerspace is a monthly drop-in studio for adults, to meet other artists, makers, and creatives within the Midcoast community.
