Spend your Sunday morning exploring, making, and creating in the ArtLab studio during this community drop-in for adults. Learn a new process, work on an independent project or play with materials with artists of all abilities. At the beginning of the event, guest artist Sue Michlovitz will demonstrate a variety of handmade books ranging from a single signature to an accordion form. The tools used for simple book making and bookbinding will be shown. All supplies provided, with a studio assistant on hand. Free coffee provided by Rock City Café!
About the artist
Sue Michlovitz is a visual artist working in photography, artist books and mixed media. Her work has been shown at Cove Street Arts (Portland, ME), the Maine Museum of Photographic Arts ( Portland, ME), The Griffin Museum of Photography (Winchester, Mass). She earned her MFA in Media Arts, Maine Media College, Rockport, ME. She serves as a Trustee for CMCA where she is a member of the Education and Marketing Committees.
Our Adult Makerspace is a monthly drop-in studio for adults, to meet other artists, makers, and creatives within the Midcoast community.
