Spend your Sunday morning exploring, making, and creating in the ArtLab studio during this community drop-in for adults. Learn a new process, work on an independent project or play with materials with artists of all abilities. At the beginning of the event, guest artist Alix Martin will create a miniature art piece made from sewing, felting and collaging materials. Participants are encouraged to bring fragments from their home to incorporate into their work. All supplies provided, with a studio assistant on hand and free coffee provided by Rock City Café!

About the artist
Alix Martin is an artist and educator living part time in Rockland and also North Haven Island.  She creates whenever possible; walking down the hallway at work, while taking the ferry back and forth and sitting on the beach among other places.  She loves finding inspiration in the world around her and often weaves found things into her work by sewing, weaving and collaging.

Our Adult Makerspace is a monthly drop-in studio for adults, to meet other artists, makers, and creatives within the Midcoast community.
