Based in Maine, and originally from Stroudsburg, PA, Keen earned a B.F.A from Millikin University in Decatur, IL, and a M.A. from S.U.N.Y. Albany.
With work in public and private collections internationally, Keen has been awarded grants from such institutions as the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, Sheffield, MA and Rhode Island Sea Grant, Narragansett, RI. Keen has exhibited nationally and his most recent solo shows were at the Midwest Museum of American Art ,Elkhart, IN, and Moss Galleries in Falmouth, ME. He currently shows with Anita Rogers Gallery in NYC as well as with The Painting Center. Keen has created public art and received grants from the Maine Arts Commission, University of Rhode Island, and the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. His work was included in the United States "Art in Embassies Program” and has been reviewed in Art New England, Portland Press Herald, Maine Home and Design, Dispatch Magazine, Fresh Paint Magazine, and Studio Visit Magazine.
