Artist Statement.... I work in bronze, wood, clay, and plaster and often utilize the integration of multiple materials or found objects and a touch of whimsy. The initial idea for a sculpture might come from a random drawing or the discovery of an interesting piece of wood under an old apple tree or from a scavenger hunt in a junk shop. The design choices I make are the result of sequential visual and tactile observations of a piece as it evolves. I employ rhythms of repeated lines, shapes, and spaces to create complex simplicity and layers of visual dialogue.  Each piece presents the viewer with a frozen moment in time that can lead to conjecture about what came before and what is to follow.Artist Bio...
