Anita Loomis is an artist whose paintings in watercolor and oil have exhibited regionally and internationally. After earning her art degree from Framingham University of Massachusetts, she worked in the architectural glass field for twenty years before devoting her efforts to painting. Her works are bold and expressionistic, often exhibiting a bit of wicked humor. Her works in watercolor and oil sell nationwide, and she accepts private painting commissions.
Anita is a former core member of Fountain Street Gallery of Boston and art educator from the Massachusetts public school system. She is a member of the National Association of Women Artists, the Maine Artist’s Union and new member of the Kittery Art Association. Loomis moved to Kittery in 2020 and is the owner and operator of the newly opened Loomis Gallery; a contemporary art gallery that offers fine art by a variety of New England artists.
