Amy Wilder Files’s (b.1977) artwork explores time and life and our human capabilities to impact both through the juxtaposition of natural and designed forms. Using simple compositions to orchestrate stillness and mood, her work references our organic nature, our desire to control our environment and the tension between. She holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the Massachusetts College of Art & Design and a BA in Political Science from Boston University.
Files is part of the Lincoln Street Center for the Arts. Lincoln Street Center is home to a community of artists, providing a space for artists of all career levels an opportunity to connect, collaborate and create. She currently lives and works in Rockland, Maine.
