The Artist Toolbox is a statewide initiative designed by CMCA to provide professional development opportunities to artists in response to the changing dynamics of today’s arts and culture sectors.
The Artist Toolbox Workshop is designed for artists who want to develop the skills necessary to successfully represent themselves and advance professionally. Creating a strong body of work is the most important part of being an artist, but how do you pay the bills, juggle time, money, studio and life?
These workshops are a deep dive into hi-priority topics such as image documentation, finding exhibiting venues, artist/gallery relationships, writing an artist’s statement, bio and resume, building a website, networking, getting exposure, social media, grant writing, residencies, time and money management, and sustaining an ongoing professional creative practice.
