LightWORKS: Earth Day Lanterns
Join our April Vacation ArtLabs with teaching artist Ellery Chalmers, held Monday–Thursday mornings during April vacation week. Participants will make their own tissue paper-mâché lantern or pendant style lamp shade inspired by the current exhibitions and in celebration of Earth Day. Explore themes of illumination, opacity, transparency, color and light. Attendance for all 4 days is recommended in order to complete the project and take home your lantern.
Preparations to make in advance:
Get inspired: Visit us in-person, located in downtown Rockland.
Dress for a mess: Sometimes messes happen, paper-mâché is sticky. Dress for a mess just in case!
Free and open to artists of all ages; youth ages 12+ may attend without adult supervision.
