BECOMING NOMADS: KEVIN CYR Becoming Nomads is an exhibition by Kevin Cyr that explores themes of what it means to be autonomous, or at the very least an adventurer. The work is an expression of self-reliance, and investigates mobility, habitats, and housing. It ranges from drawings, paintings, photographs, and scale models to a full-size camper sculpture towed by a Raleigh 3-speed bicycle. FLOAT presents works in a range of media that capture the allure and sensation of being in or on the water, be it the vastness of the ocean or relative sanctuary of an inland stream. Included are works by artists Adam John Manley, Tyler McPhee, Emilie Stark-Menneg, Kitty Wales, and the collective Core 5 Incident.
