Saturday, December 14
12:00 – 4:00pm | In-person at CMCA
Sliding scale fee $75 – $100 | Student fee $25 with valid ID
Registration Closed.
Led by Donna McNeil, this half-day workshop will take you through the steps of researching, writing, and selecting work samples along with an inside look at the review process for a grant application. Prior to the start to the session, participants would be expected to identify a project they would like to seek funding for, and research (with guidance) places to go for grants which best fit their project (try the Maine Arts Commission Springboard Grant or search on NYFASOURCE), and then begin to write the narrative for the grant proposal. If you would like, McNeil will read and offer suggestions prior to the workshop on those narratives either privately or, with your permission, use them as learning models for the seminar. By the end of the day participants should be well on the way to completing their grant proposal with the tools and greater understanding in their pocket. Participants will be asked to provide information for review in advance of workshop.
