Light is his material; he manipulates it to create mystical experiences. His illuminated sculptures create space that glows, cast shadows and project a fabric of colored light. His most recent body of work was initiated during his Haystack Open Residency. Exploring gable, ovoid and crystalline forms, he creates sacred rooms, altars and sanctuaries. His architectural background inspires sculptural micro‐worlds, exploring dreams, biodiversity, climate change and cities. With “Shelters”, the artist’s intent is to whimsically reveal our universal need for inner sanctum, while illuminating our humanity.
