I am focused on intuitive processes and energetic transfers that occur through the act of creation. My work is the feeling as it is felt, rather than the articulated representation of the feeling, often impacted by the environment – sounds, smells, mood, nature – surrounding me while I paint. At its most basic, I appreciate my art for the catharsis it provides during the moments of its creation. At its best, I hope for my work to commune with the soul in the same way that the wind caresses the skin, untethered to a specific form but surely felt.
