As a teenager in Palm Beach, he spent time at the Norton Gallery studying and copying the Masters.  Beginning with, O’Keefe he progressed to Monet, Cezanne, and Renoir.  Later he discovered Dali which lead to exploration and mastering the Dutch Flemish technique of layering oils. That was a moment when the discoveries learned from his Aunt came full circle, a never shared secret he will take to his grave.

He started sailing at an early age in the Florida Keys and the Bahamas. His interests centered on all thigs maritime eventually making a single-hand voyage from Florida to Trinidad, twenty-one days at sea alone.  The Air Force introduced him to South East Asia and along the way, the cultures of Pacific.  The museums in Dublin and London further advanced his exposure observing the Old Masters. As an executive of Bridgestone Corporation in Tokyo, he enjoyed special access to one of the world’s most significant collections of early Impressionistic Art. Having lived in Donegal Ireland, London England, Miami, Los Angles, and Seattle he has found a new home near Ogunquit in Cape Neddick, Maine.

Today, his education continues ever expanding into maritime, portraiture, history and nature.
