In her recent series In America, Ni Rong puts herself in America’s landscape. While she appears in every image, she remains, literally, self-effacing: a figure that reveals the mystery of what to Americans are familiar places.
Rong has studied at the Maine Media Workshops, the Santa Fe Photographic Workshop, and the Palm Beach Photographic Center. She also has a doctorate in nutrition from Tufts University. This year she will participate in the International Biennial of Fine Art and Documentary Photography in Malaga, Spain, and she is showing at the Gary Edwards Gallery in Washington, DC, dnj Gallery in Santa Monica, California, and the Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado.
